Dometic recommends a maximum speed of 130 km/h when using the MIDI-HEKIS to avoid damage to the roof hood.
It occasionally happens that the acrylic glass hood of the MIDI-HEKI bracket version opens by itself at high speed.
(The bracket clip is only a useful addition to the roof polisher & gasket package and is not offered separately).
At the request of many motorhome service centers, functional-design has developed a pair of clips for additional fixation of the bracket. The pair of clamps additionally fixes the bracket directly in the area of the snap-in hooks.The bracket clamps, made of high-quality KBM, are simply clipped on without drilling and then adjusted without tools. After adjustment, the bracket should be under tension and the snap-in hook should fully engage.
To open the roof hood, the clips, after loosening the knurled screw, are simply swung inwards!
