The difference
MIDI-HEKI Bracket and winder version
In the MIDI-HEKI bracket version, the acrylic glass hood can be opened approx. 45 degrees. The roof hood is fixed opposite the hinge in the area of the corners via 2 snap-in hooks. The latching hooks are "controlled" on both sides via the opening bracket. The bracket is engaged in the closed position by a centrally arranged catch and thus indirectly fixes the catch hooks in the closed position.
With the MIDI-HEKI crank version, the acrylic glass hood can be opened approx. 63 degrees. The roof hood is infinitely adjustable. The latching hooks are directly controlled by a "worm drive" and fixed in the closed position. Operation is by means of a centrally located crank.
The design of the closing mechanism is the same for both variants. The latching hooks are only "controlled" and fixed differently. The crank variant seems to close more reliably at higher speeds!
